    Hi John;

I was able to locate information and the names regarding the loss of two 307th Bomb Group B-24’s on 13 February 1943 from the following books.

The Long Rangers by Sam S. Britt, Jr.: http://www.missingaircrew.com/images/TheLongRangers.gif
Up The Slot by Samuel I. Walker: http://www.missingaircrew.com/images/UpTheSlot.gif

Since the books are both out of print I scanned a page from each book to provide you with some details regarding the 307th BG losses on 13 February 1943. Although both books are out of print, I have found both on the following used book web site from time to time: http://www.abebooks.com/.

The book “Up the Slot” listed the following crew names:

Pilot Lt. George Traeger (307th BG, 424th Sq)
    Theodore Barton
    George Radford
    Hiram Battersby
    Bill Stearnes
    Hiram Meigs
    Leo Eilts
    Herman Selvig
    Elbert Boyer

Pilot Lt. Russell Rowe (307th BG, 424th Sq)
    Dan Deuchare
    Charles Wade
    Paul Crane
    Kenneth McCarthy
    Elemer Beaupre
    John Stimadorkis
    Jack Collins
    James Magri
Unidentified Navy photographer flying with them,

For more detailed information I would recommend contacting the Maxwell Field AFB AAF archives in AL to request the complete Missing Air Crew report:

    Maxwell AFB, Alabama 36112-6424
