Sgt. Charles Mitchell 15375807 Shot 23rd March 1945.

Hi,
 
Details wanted re Sgt. Charles Mitchell said shot by Hitler Youth with own gun .
He was with the 736th Squadron.
 
Any details welcome.
 
He could have been a crewmember in one of these three aircraft -
42-78668  MACR 13251
44-49264  MACR 13279
44-49464  MACR 13277
 
that were lost on the date in question.

    44-49264  crash-landed in Hungary. I have found no Mitchell on the crew list.
    44-49464  might have landed in Soviet-occupied Hungary too.

    From what you gave and what Ihave it looks like Mitchell was with 42-78668 (macr13251) that is reported to have come down in Austria on the 23rd March 45.
    Can anyone give names of her crew.

    Thanks for the added information, it is welcome.
     
    For info 44-49464 was named "Pergnant Dutchess" pilot was Robert E. Dunlap.
     
    What if any is the link with the names starting with the word Pregnant ?
     
    Also take a look Black 105 photoattachment on this site, it is 44-49264 crashed in Hungary with W. J. Williamson pilot.
