What are the POOR FORMATION flying Characteristics on the B-24 ?

The B-24 Liberator built by the Consolidated Aircraft Corporation had GREATER SPEED ,LONGER  RANGE and carried a heavier bomb load than the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. Despite these advantages the B-24 was more difficult to fly and had POOR FORMATION flying Characteristics, and was more vulnerable to battle damage.
