Question for B-17 veterans! Interior, painted or not?

This question is mainly for the B-17 veterans here. I would like to know, on the aircraft you gentlemen crewed, was the interior of your aircraft painted or natural metal? I'm mainly looking to see where the painted areas of the interior are. For example, I know that the waist areas were mainly unpainted natural metal throught the war, regardless of whether the it was a B-17F of G. Is this correct?
How about the radio room, nose compartment, flight deck and bombbay?
I build models of the B-17 and just want to get it right.

Jeremy,  Although not a VET, I thought I'd jump in with a few ideas just from his Site alone. In doing a quick "Search," I found LOTSA links dealing with the subject of which I had gone to this particular one before: http://forum.armyairforces.com/tm.aspx?m=172626&high=interior+paint+in+B-17  I noticed many more where VETS had chimed in on both the B-17 and the B-24. I also noticed that some VETS suggested doing a walk-thru of current day B-17s, both static and air-worthies, that have been authentically restored, if you get the opportunity or you may have already done this. (I've also been cautioned that sometimes the "scheme may look great, but not be authentic."  I've usually found someone attached to the display who can give my some type of quick answer.) Besides the various "modelers" on the Site who offer great tips, there is one poster named Nick King (call name: buckeyeuk) from the UK who seems to be quite knowledgeable on colour schematics. I can't recall if he had posted in any of your Threads from '09, but when I get into a "colour issue," both interior and exterior, he seems to jump aboard and lend some good info.  Don't know if this helps from a non-VET, but just some thoughts!  Good hunting!

    Best Regards!
