B-17G Nose aerial 8thAF,Third Air Division

From November 1944 Third Air Division were using Micro-H radar bombing . If you view photos of B-17Gs there is a large stub aerial between the Captains windshield and the astrodome slightly offset. Was this part of Micro-H or some other form of radar navigation ? Very little information available in B-17 books can anybody help ??
