B-24s after the war

I've read that most of the B-24s were scrapped after the war. Were any flown until the All American was restored? - Thanks

Thank you, I only knew about the All American. But my question is about any B-24s flying, oh let's say 1960s-1980s. There's a guy who is weaseling his way into the lives of my elderly parents. I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. He is one of those people who no matter what the topic is he's done it. My mom mentioned the research I've been doing and he said he'd flown B-24s. The guy can't be over 62 or so. Outside of having a time machine or being part of restoration group, is there any way he could have flown a B-24? Oh, and he was also a "Bush Pilot," in Africa at some point.

There were some ships slated for static display across the US, but most of these did not last long either. It would appear that the Indian Air Force was the last to have the B-24 in service, but these were RAF Lend Lease aircraft: http://forums.bharat-rakshak.com/viewtopic.php?t=381

I'm sure you've already warned your parents to be very wary of this guy--there are a lot of scumbags out there preying on the elderly (or not so elderly).  I'd try to pin him down on specifics about his past--what years did he fly B-24s?  What outfit(s) was he in (and when)? Then do some research on his claims, especially if he says he flew as a B-24 pilot in WW2 or flew with any of the groups that are still flying restored B-24s.  Let's just hope that he is nothing more than a B.S. artist trying to impress.
P.S.  The "All American" was repainted as "The Dragon and His Tail", and currently is decked out as "Witchcraft", owned and flown by The Collings Foundation.
