Re:1135th Quartermaster Service Company
Other designations for this unit besides the two Mark mentions.
182 Quartermaster Company, Service Group (Aviation) from about July 1942 to about May 1943
1135 Quartermaster Company, Air Service Group before disbanding on 1 June 1945 as AF units in the Mediterranean Theater converted to the "new" Air Service Group organization.
The unit was at La Senia Airfield, near Oran, Algeria in 1942 and Oujda, Morocco early in 1943.
Because it was assigned to the 38th Service Group (later 38th Air Service Group), it is likely that it also served at RAF Chelveston and RAF Westhampnett in England before the North African invasion and also served at Mateur, Tunisia and Lucera, Italy.
It is also likely that in June 1945 he transferred to an Air Materiel Squadron, possibly the 762d or 968th, although the conversion to new model support units in the Mediterranean was not as straightforward as it was in the ETO.
Push the stick forward, the houses get bigger. Pull the stick back, the houses get smaller (unless you keep pulling -- then they get bigger again)
