2nd Lt. Rodney Allen Manning, Bombardier, 446 BS, 321 BG
I am looking for any images or information regarding 2 Lt. Rodney Allen Manning (aka Rodney A. Manning), who was a bombardier in the 446 BS. Records indicate that he occasionally flew with the 445 and 447 BS. My wife, Reeve, is Rod's daughter. Rod passed away in 1989 and we have very little information regarding his military service.
Rod left the 446 in August/September 1943 to return to the U.S. mainland, where he attended pilot training in Mustang Class 44-k at El Reno, OK. One of my wife's only possessions from her father is his Mustang 44-K class book. We intend to scan and post this book online in the future. We also know that he attended Bombardier/Nav Class 42-13 at Kirtland.
Again, any information or photos would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
