Well, At the moment I have three people inquiring and wanting to honor their family Veteran by making up an A-2 similar to the ones they wore. None of us can afford an original.

OK, I've got several links on the computer if you give me some time to find them, wife is calling for dinner at the moment.

Some years ago I bought several items fro Cockpit and they were of good quality but it's been a few years.

Lost Worlds has some useful information but as far as prices are concerned they are out of this world. Worth looking at just for the information. See the tabs at the bottom of the pages.

Cooper made a good jacket but they appear to be out of business.

Google A-2 and you'll find a bunch of hits.

Overall Cockpit is probably as good a source as any. they've been around for over 20 years, name used to be Avirex.

When I was actively painting jackets I considered Cockpit the worst of the crop as the were over-oiled and made the paint adhesion problematic. I ran with Flight Apparel out of NJ but they are long gone now. Coopers are/were goat skin rather than cow hide...Original A-2s were usually cow. Occasionally Horse and less frequently Kangaroo...no joke.

What nose art, group, are you working on?
