Hello to all, I have been desperately searching for photos of 2ndLT Gilbert Malrait who was KIA on mission 40, April 4, 1944. Since years am looking for any pic token during crew-training or at Grottaglie, Italy where Gilbert could be in the pic. Everyone who had a famly member in the Original cadre of the 719th Sq please look at the pictures they brought home from Grottaglie (before 04-04-1944). It would be great to find a pic with Gilbert Malrait on it, he was navigator in the Thieme crew 719th Sq. In attach a pic of Gilbert Malrait at school here in Ronse Belgium before the War.
Friday there will be for the 8th time a Memorial Day ceremony at the grave of 2ndLT Gilbert Malrait and this will be for the first time on Livestream here https://livestream.com/beleefhet/memorial
More information on Gilbert and the Thieme crew here http://www.2ltmalrait-gilbert.net

He was in the class of 43-05 Flight 67 at Selman Field. Unfortunately, I don't think that class book is on the afcollection.info website. Perhaps it can be found elsewhere on the web.

Any picture of Gilbert Malrait is welcome, can't find nothing of his time in the 719th Sq, 449th Bomb Grp(H). It would be great to ad on the tribute and share with his family here in Ronse, Belgium. You will remark that 2dLT Gilbert Malrait is not on the crew-picture of the Bolick crew, all of the Bolick crew 577th Sq 392th Bomb Grp where KIA on Nov 26, 1943!!! See her the page I have build on this crew http://bolick-crew.16mb.com

    Thanks for any help.
