    Jaap,

    Thanks for posting this. May take me a while to find him, the roster has three men named McDaniel but none are Ralph. If he flew 35 missions it would have been relatively late in the war. Will keep you posted.

    Small progress, his actual name was Noel R. McDaniel which is one of the three I mentioned above. Appears he was with the 710th Squadron but I still don't have a crew or a time frame.

    EDIT: Have edited the AAM listing and sent additional information to the Find-a-Grave listing.

    OK, finally found him. Assigned to the 710th Sq on April 18, 1944 with the Kendler crew. However it appears he was immediately transferred to the well known crew of the 'three Walts' ( Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Bombardier were all named Walt ) in Cock of the Sky.
