1. The AAF forum will close permanently on December 1, 2017. I no longer have the time to manage a project like this, obviously, or give it the attention that it deserves. I still think fondly of the early days in 1998 when this all got started. A small, but eager group of tech savvy 1st and 2nd generation descendants made great friends with the last of the WWII veterans thru the newfangled internet. They're all gone now. It's time for me to turn the page. Thanks for being along for part of the ride. I'm sorry it got so bumpy in the end.

52 page MACR 7353 starts here fold3 https://www.fold3.com/image/28713225 four pages attached. It appears both 1st Lt Walter B. Shamberger (CP), ASN: O-700998 and Sgt Stanley G. Nalipa (WG), ASN: 15324363 were murdered. Sgt Nalipa was wounder before leaving the ship so he (may?) have died from those wounds. The false statements by the Nazis that neither of their chutes opened, which they obviously did leaves questions about both deaths.

The pilot, 1st Lt. Ted L. Weaver, ASN: O-693829 evaded with the help of Dutch civilians and underground. E&E Report 2947 here https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5557547

Also see 44BG http://8thairforce.com/44th/ for bomb group information.

someplace on the NARA site is the Nuremberg trial transcripts for the minor trials (murders of airmen, etc...)

Lost the link but there should be an index for these trials.

Dave there is one, but only the German cases are in the archives. We started an '' Fliegermorde-project '' in Holland.

I can recommand to go through the files of Record Group 242 in the NARA for additionell details.
There are also dutch cases in the NARA, RG 549 (untried cases).
