Three weeks ago we went again to Island Rab to try to find crash site of some plane where almost all crew died, and just one Partisan survived. This time we were lucky and except crash site and hundreds of small pieces we found dog tag from Frederick Johnson, and than through internet in two minutes we had all story.

C-47A-50-DL , from 62TCG went to supply action. After unsuccessful action they went back but plane crashed on Island Rab. Crew died and were buried by Germans. One man survived, Partisan from Slovenia, Adolf Dovzak and he jumped out of the plane... same story told me eyewitnesses.....

    pilot Oren Leeds
    co-pilot Hugh McFarland
    navigator Frederick Johnson
    engineer Forrest Peck
    radio op. Howard Seage

My question is, does anyone have any more info about crew, photos of them or plane, anything ????
