Does anyone know of any books or research materials that discuss the jobs and experiences of ground maintenance crews that kept the bombers/ fighters flying? I'm particularly interested in the ground crews of the 8th and 9th Air Forces in the ETO.

    Good find Rolland.
Going slightly off topic it's worth taking a look at the home page of your third link. It's the web site of Bud Anderson. Read his book To Fly and Fight many years ago, great to see that he is still active.
