I don't have a picture of JUDY, but if you want a good 8X10 picture of a B17 QUEENIE I can e-mail it to you if you send me your e-mail address

Laurent,

You may want to try contacting the 100th Bomb Group. 42-30050 belonged to the 100th and I know they were interested in aquiring the photos you mentioned. I'm not sure if they did obtain them, but that may be a good place to look. The 100th Bomb Group web site is http://www.100thbg.com. Good luck.

I got in late on this discussion thread so I don't have a tail number for the "Queenie" you're talking about but here are two B-17 "Queenie" photographs. Maybe one, or both, is the a/c you're talking about?

I believe Laurent is taking about photographs of B-17 42-30050 "Judy E", which was brought to the attention of this site by member "PATHFINDER GERMANY" Nils. The photos were post shoot down and were being auctioned on EBAY Germany. Since 42-30050 belonged to the 100th Bomb Group, I contacted them to see if they were interested in purchasing the photos. I corresponded with someone from the 100th Bomb Group Association and they were very interested in obtaining these photos. In later correspondence I learned they were having difficulty in acquiring them. In any case the aircraft that Laurent is asking about is 42-30050 "Judy E".

First a minor correction 42-30050 is actually Judy D, not Judy E.
See below:

http://www.100thbg.com/mainpages/crews/crews5/duncan.htm
This has some good information about the Duncan crew and missions with eyewitness accounts of Judy D going down. (by the description of the bailout, it is interesting that this fort was not completely destroyed and in the condition seen in below picture)Perhaps this is an earlier photo and then was repaired and lost later?

Here is a picture from: http://pub157.ezboard.com/fluftwaffeexperten71774frm60.showMessage?topicID=58.topic This happens to be a post that you (Laurent) made on the luftwaffen experten message board, so ovisouly you have this photo already.
Sorry I couldn't help further.
