I spent a few hours taking shots of this plane which most people wouldn't, and, perhaps, they will provide a moment of recall for those who would appreciate it. I have most of them posted, but there are 3 or 4 more yet to post, so check back in a week or so. You can see the images here: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/larry-darnell.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=80000
and if I get clever, I may figure out how to post some of them here.

Cordially,
Larry Darnell

Re:ASluminum Overcast (WillowRun)

Hi Tom! Welcome aboard! First off I've attached a pic of "ALUMINUM OVERCAST" to the post (assuming that was a "typo" in the subject line). She is a beauty! Also, you have posted in the right place to hopefully reach any VETS for your EAA project! Three years ago I was asked by EAA #333, the Ann Arbor Chapter, to give a one hour presentation including questions on the Ford Willow Run B-24 Bomber Plant. I turned out to be an enlightening 3 hour event! Of the 25 attendees including members and guests, there was an original "Rosie" from the plant and a B-24 Flight Engineer VET. It was a moving and rewarding evening! Good luck!

ASluminum Overcast (tomhall)

Our EAA Chapter ( www.eaa100.org ) is hosting a B-17 visit to the Rochester, MN Airport this July 22 - 25. I am looking for veterans who would like to participate in this event. The " press day " is July 22nd. I need 4 veterans who were B-17 crew, of ground crew or flew escorts. We will offer a free ride that day and have media interviews. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Tom Hall hall.thomas@mayo.edu
