His plane was shot down in June '44, and was a POW until Patton's liberation. A book I have makes reference to the July 2, '44 mission and Mr Jones. Even "Emperor Jones" is referenced on page 469. The battle order is found on page 461......Emperor Jones was in the 2nd box. The mission to the Budapest, Hungary is described in detail. This particular book, "Flying Colt," by Robert S. Capps was published in 2004 &amp;amp; I purchased it at an Antique dealer in Aurora, IL. Check out Amazon for a copy.
