I do know the crash site locations for Rubel and Frederick. This is the first I have seen of the crash sites for Ernst and Maximow. I would appreciate it if you could send me a map pinpointing all four crash sites based on your research. I can use this information to further refine my research for this battle. Send me a PM and I can provide my email address for you. I can also provide JC Clouet's email as well.

A+, Gary
Re:Pilots shot down July 6th, 1944 (LIL HAM 3)

 Bonjour Marc,

Félicitations pour vos recherches sur ces deux pilotes du 428th squadron.
Si celà peut vous aider, à moins que vous ne les ayiez déjà, voici les photos de Robert J.RUBEL et James . FREDERICK .

A+ Jean-luc ( Association Forced Landing - 28110 Lucé , France)

Robert RUBEL ( photo de gauche )
James FREDERICK ( photo de DROITE )
Re:Pilots shot down July 6th, 1944 (Marc_91)

 Many Thanks Gary,

Roger just wrote me he will connect him directly.
Re:Pilots shot down July 6th, 1944 (eagle0025)

 Bonjour Marc,

You are correct in that the two 428th FS pilots shot down were Bob Rubel and James Frederick. My good friend, Bob Milliken (429th FS), was the one who shot down Ernst.
