I FOUND A PHOTO OF JOSE CARIOCA IN THE BOOK "BLACK SUNDAY: PLOESTI". YOUR GREAT UNCLE IS LISTED IN THE CREW, ALONG WITH THE OTHER CREW MEMBERS. DO YOU HAVE AN PHOTOS OF THE PLANE?

here is another pic of my Great Uncle. Any thoughts on missions prior to Ploesti? I have heared from none to ten 0-10.......The time would have been right to deploy with the group from England to North Africa.

Good to hear from you! The 93rd BG is getting ready for their group reunion on Oct. 22-26 at Shreveport ,LA. The uncles group started at Barksdale AFB in 1942 and we are going back to where it all stared this year. With your permission I would like to post your uncles photo at the event with the other try-folds of photos of the 93rd BG photos.You never know what may turn up.

My Great Uncle was Glenn McCarty, a waist gunner on 617N. I was wondering if anyone had any information on him or any of the crew he flew with. I have been in contact with a relative of the co-pilot; Ivan Canfield, but is there anyone else?
Does anyone have any recolections of the crew or my Great Uncle?
