My husband's uncle Sgt Paul Bertram was a tail gunner in a B-24 Heavy and bailed out over Budapest,Hungry on July 27, 1944 and was a POW in Stalag 4 and Stalag 1. He was liberated by the Russians on May 2, 1945 from Stalage 1. What I am looking for is the MACR. The pilot's name was John Parish, co-pilot was George Braugh and the navigator was John Brinle. I also need to know the name of the plane. The picture of the crew I have shows just a few letters and not the whole name. After looking at some nose art, the lettering matches The Reddy Teddy Too, but I am not sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Sandy
