43-15076 (Douglas c/n 19542). 97th TCS had squadron code W6 painted on nose. 97th TCS was detached to Ombrone, Italy, 18.07.44 - 24.8.44 (together with 95th and 96th TCS). Base for D-Day operations was Exeter, England.

The book is a reprint of the original and is called DZ EUROPE The Story of the 440th Troop Carrier Group. TonyM.
