on a mission flying from Oudna Field, Tunisia to bomb the Tatoi Aerodrome Athens Greece. Only survivor was Co-Pilot 2nd Lt George W. Rohrer. I have my Uncle's Class Book "The Shack" from Army Air Force Bombardier School Big Springs TX, Kelly Field Class 43-4 graduated 03/11/43. Also have a letter he wrote on 09/28/43 describing mass at 6:30pm Sunday night and 3 Italian POW's he befriended there. Also tells of hearing that Italy had surrendered and running down to the radio tent where he translated the Italian news broadcast while all the guys watched and waited. Anyone with any information about our Uncles, their missions or related details welcomed. Please contact Gary T. Staffo at 202-586-9577 or E-mail at mail{Gary.Staffo@ee.doe.gov,Gary.Staffo@ee.doe.gov} THANK YOU!
