My father (and my Uncle) was with the Army Air Corps station in Guam in 1945. Not sure but I think his unit was near Northwest Field. My father (Malcom Lee Fisher) and my Uncle (Thurman E. Blackard) were truck drivers and in the same company. One of the pictures I have of my father has on his left arm, appears to be a Army Air Corps patch. I'm thinking they were with a transportation support group. Can you help me to figure out who they were with - I wish I asked my father about his military career before he died in 1992, but I didn't.
I tried to get his Military records - all of his records were destroyed in a fire. All I have is a final payment record, but I wasn't sure how to interrupt it.
I have a lot of pictures when he was station in Guam of him and his friends and the bombers, fighter planes at the Northwest Field from 1945. I would be honored to share those pictures with the correct website.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Here are some possible Truck Companies on Guam in May 1945:
2061st Quartermaster Truck Company, Aviation
2120th Quartermaster Truck Company, Aviation
2267th Quartermaster Truck Company, Aviation
2268th Quartermaster Truck Company, Aviation
2461st Quartermaster Truck Company, Aviation
 
I don't know which of these were at Northwest Field, as the station is only listed as Guam.
You may identify his unit, if any of your pictures show the front bumper of a truck or a jeep that was in his unit.  The name is stenciled on the bumper.

You say you have pictures with bombers in them.  Can you see the tail of these bombers?  The 315th Bomb Wing at Northwest Field had B-29s with a Diamond on the tail with either a B, L, Y or H inside the diamond.  The 314th Bomb Wing at North Field had a Black box painted on the tail with either an M, O, P or K in while on the black box. I know that Northwest Field had some F-5s (P-38 recon version) and after the war some P-47s.  I don't know if North Field had any fighters.
If you can share a picture or two of a photo with a bomber in it or a front bumper of one of the trucks, it may help some of the folks here to give you some better information.
I did a search of the rosters I have and found a PFC Malcolm L. Fisher in the 587th Engineering Squadron of the 75th Air Service Group, Northwest Field Guam.  His service number started with 18 indicating he enlisted in either Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texas.
No luck yet finding a Thurman Blackard, but I'll look a little deeper through the rosters.

Thank you Larry J - for the info. Yes my father enlisted in the military in Smith County, Texas. I can not say with 100% certainly that Thurman Blackard was in the same company, but with the pictures I have they were together in about half of them.
Thurman Blackard most likely enlisted in Colorado. What happen - Thurman Blackard introduced his sister to my father (Malcom Fisher) and the rest is history. So that's why I'm very interest in info on Thurman Blackard.

I might point out that the 4 Bomb Groups (VH) and their 4 Air Service Groups were assigned vehicles such as trucks, cars and motorcycles as part of their transportation sections.  Personnel who drove and maintained these vehicles belonged to the Air Corps, while personnel in the truck companies belonged to the Quartermaster Corps.
The QM Truck Cos mentioned in my first post were assigned to AAF, Pacific Ocean Area, which supported the 20th Air Force.

I have been in communications with Danny via PM.  I have found his father as part of the 75th Air Service Group, 587th Engineering Squadron at Northwest Field.  His MOS was 345, Truck Driver, Light.
Nothing found so far on his uncle.
