sleeve patch on jacket question

Ok, say I have the specialist patch on my right bottom jacket sleeve & am awarded the Meritorious Unit citation which is supposed to be worn in the same location. Do I stack them or go side by side?

The MUC patch should go on the right sleeve, 4 inches above the cuff.
The Specialist patch should go on left sleeve, 4 inches above the cuff.

You are correct, both go on right ... I was doing too many things at once.
I am moving a bunch of my reference material, let me try and find the uniform regulations that would apply here.

Well, no joy here ... the AR 600-40 Wear of the Service Uniform I have is from 1941, before the patches in question were authorized, so nothing on them.
I have asked around, and one collector says he thinks he has seen a pic of an Ike configured like you want; if he remembers correctly, it was Tech Spec patch on bottom, MUC about an inch above, but we will keep looking for the picture of the uniform to be sure.

That is what I'm going to do when I get to it, most people wouldn't know to question it any way. Thanks for the assist!

Found this on a old forum: The Meritorious Unit Commendation patch was also worn on the right sleeve over WW1 wound stripes or, more commonly, where they are shown. If you were Army Air Corps and had a specialty qualification patch, it went on the lower right sleeve also. MUC would have been placed above it as this was a unit award and was worn for a prescribed time.
 
Which I interpret that the MUC is only worn while attached to the unit.
 
Of course, the important thing is identifying the unit you are portraying to confirm they got the MUC.
