Thanks Mike and Scott,
I want to make sure I get the information accurate, I am putting together displays for a museum and this is 1 of 41 B-17's I have. Do you know of any pictures (nose art of of the B17)? I will check out your links.  Thank you, Greg

Mike,
Thank you, I already got a reply from Carolyn B. and she gave me some great info.
42-30610 "Red Ass" only flew 3 combat missions and on her fourth she caught on fire after take off. on 17-Oct-43, she is looking for a photo or nose art, if she has one, I will post it. Thanks again!

Re:B17 42-3610 "Red Ass"
Carolyn is amazing, she found a photo of 42-30610 "Red Ass"  no story behind the naming of the B-17, she only flew 3 missions and the 4th was her last.  I hope this attaches.  I could not get it to attach, I will figure it out and try again later on.
Thanks again,
Greg
