Hi,

To just add to what Terry has said .
Joe baugher's fine site has no info for P-38's between serial numbers 42-68039 and 42-68080.

There are many P-38's that there seems to be little or nothing known about their service or fate.

Philippe,

P-38 42-68071 was still very much alive in June 1944: see http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/images/g250000/g253257.jpg

Unfortunately no group or squadron markings visible, but 367th FG is mentioned elsewhere on this website.

Regards,
