Chris, Guess I cut the names off too short before, here are the names of the two witnesses. But as I said earlier, no witness statements are attached. Hal [image]local://12384/1EA2D8FD314B48B5A65CD1A88FCC9389.jpg[/image]

Hi Terry It is also interesting to see that three crewmembers from this crew, Best, Edwards and Frye, have the date of December 1st 1943 as their MIA date. Very strange. Have also been sent the attached 94th BG document regarding the November 29th mission by MBO427, and the loss of 'Virgin's Delight' seems to have been a mystery at the time, let alone nearly 65 years later. Regards Chris.

Hi Hal I wonder if they saw 'Virgin's Delight' under some sort of control, but starting to leave the formation? Seems to contradict the other 94th BG document if they saw her going down out of control? Regards Chris.

Hi Terry Your probably right with that. Just seems strange that only three out of the eight missing show this date. Regards Chris.

Chris: If you want it to be a mystery, Iam sure you can. But you cannot second guess what people did back then, or why, take it for what it is and move on, Good Luck Terry

Hi Terry I'm fine with the information that i have regarding the loss of 'Virgin's Delight'. I don't know though if George is going to look for more details? I've spent fourteen years researching another 94th BG aircraft and there are still gaps in the information i have. Chances are that some gaps will never be filled, but you never know what's around the corner?? Might just take another fourteen years!! Regards Chris.

Hi George Just out of interest do you have any connections to one of the crewmembers of the Walter Chyle crew, or just interested in the events surrounding their loss? Regards Chris.

Hi Chris, My only connection to the crew members is that one is from my hometown County. I have been doing research on all County servicemen shown on the NARA WW II Army and Army Air Force Casualties Listing. George

Hi George Sounds very interesting. Have you tried looking for any relatives of this crewmember? Perhaps after WWII Walter Chyle may have spoken to the families and told them what exactly happened? Good luck with your research. Regards Chris.
