Hot!To add/update Group & Association Information for your forum

What you'll do: 

If you have current group association info; points of contact, web site, reunion news, books, etc., for a numbered group sub forum - post a new thread with the information in that forum.

Come back to this thread and post a link* to your new post.

What I'll do:

I will go to that post, read it, and if it's not spam I will PIN that message to the top of that forum.  Pinning will keep your post at the top of the group forum and your people can maintain it with updates as needed.


* How to find the link to your message:  Click the "#1" located bottom right of your post, it's on the same row as the "Forward Message, Manage message, Edit Message" line at the bottom of each post.  The number changes depending on which post number it is in the thread.  OR copy the link from the address line of your browser.  Whatever works best for you.  Use CTRL-C to copy and CTRL-V to paste.

I'm sorry, Scott but I'm somewhat generationally deprived.

I'm 86, was a 94 mission pilot with the 522nd Sq. 27th FBG Group in Italy, Corsica and Southern France, straffing and divebombing, 11/43 - 9/44.

I will need help to post anything or answer any questions about it.

The 8th Fighter Bomber Group is having a reunion 4-6 September in San Antonio.

I am president of the 27th Fighter Bomber Group Association. We are unable to mount any more reunions because o "declining membership" so we have been invited to "piggyback" on their reunion. I'm grateful for the forbearance.

We flew the same airplanes in the same theater at the same time and so we consider ourselves as "sister units".

I'd say you're off to a pretty good start!

There are two areas where you'll want to post your information.   The first would be in the Reunion Announcements forum, and the other in the 27th FG forum.

I think it's a smart idea to combine reunions.  I know other groups have done that.

If you have any problems just post about it and either one of the moderators, myself, or a forum member will be sure to help out.

Hope I'm doing this right.  I just started a new Group/Page on Facebook for the 459th.  Still building it but wanted to go ahead and start spreading the word!  I've got an email in to the official folks over at their Association as well.
