Thank you Chris! We have had the following informations to this both aircrafts. The B-24 "Liberator" 42-110042 should be crashed near the village Hochelheim, today Hüttenberg and one man of this crew will bei killed in action. The B-17 "Flying Fortress" 42-102395 should be crashed near the village Watzenborn and all crew member got POW. Perhaps the german records changed the aircrafts and places because both crashplaces were south of Gießen. Thank you very much. Another short question! Do anybode know, if on May 12th 1944 P-38 "Lightnings" were south of Gießen and have had shot down german Messerschmitt 109? Thank you very much. Best wishes, Dirk

Hi Dirk I have the same details as you regarding B-24 42-110042. The Bombardier, FO Edward Davidowitz, was the one crewmember KIA. The remaining nine became POW's. Sorry, i don't have anything on the 109 loss. Regards Chris.
