Hi, My name is george paul and I am currently looking for information and service history on my father. His name is Sylvio G. Paul and he too served with the 315th bomb wing 16th bomb group (unsure of squadron) He served at Northwest field, Guam during ww2. I'm trying to piece together his service years e.g. what his mission was or his specialty as well as members he served with. Dad was originally from Springfield, MA and eventually stationed at Westover AFB after leaving Guam. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks [signature]

George, You can request a free copy of your father's service record from this site: http://www.archives.gov/research_room/obtain_copies/veterans_service_records.html His discharge papers will tell you a lot of info. Also, I was given the name of the director of the 315th Bomb Wing Assn, Beverly Green: 341 W. Champaign Ave Rantoul, IL 61866 She has a book of the 16th BG and was able to locate my father's crew and a photo. good luck. Patty [signature]

My 315th book shows PFC Sylvio G. Paul in the 16th BG, 17th Bomb Sq. No listing of him in the crew photos, so I would guess he may have been in a non-flying status. [signature]
