Sandor,

You may like this website: http://www.muzeumsnp.sk/WWW-USA-nov%E1/USA-GB-oprava.htm

With search function (type "Buffalo Gal") you'll be directed to a picture of three crew members of 42-52297. Then right click at a point just below the picture and a text will appear: it says the B-24 crashed at Odertal, which I believe in Austria.

Regards,

Leendert

From the MACR summary page on Footnote, the plane was reported to have crashed at 47 deg 20 min North by 17 deg 28 min East (Papa, Hungary).  From the interpreted German crew capture reports with the MACR, the crew was captured near the "Community Fuefing near St. Ruprecht on the Raab, approximately 30 km NE of Graz."
