info needed on 42-97725

I am looking for help in obtaining crew or nose art of 42-97725, I have the MACR
and on VENITI ORA was absolutely no photo or nose art reference on Maj Cofer
loss

Any help will be appreciated

Alex...Are you saying that the crew members are NOT listed on the MACR 6854 ?

If they are not listed, please post, and I will post the last names of the crew members
as given in Dick  Drain's 5th Wing History.

The next of kin , and thier home addresses SHOULD be listed on the MACR.

Note...this is where they lived in 1944. and there should be relatives still living near there,as most famiies of that era, did not move far from their homes, as they do today.

Dick Drain's 5th Wing History does not show a name for 42-97725, and not all aircraft had nose art/names.
(Only at the deployment of an entire Bomb Group were the aircraft named or had nose art, (usually).

Replacement aircraft were sometimes named, but not always....42-97725 was originally assigned to the 2nd BG, as were ALL of the PFF aircraft, and later were dispersed through the rest of the 5th Wing.

Not really, I had the MACR but I looked for a crew photo and nose art of Maj Cofer crew
