individual mission history - 02/15/2008 08:23:00 AM
How would one go about reconstructing a mission history for an individual? My uncle was with 301st BG 32SQ and was KIA 11/2/43. I have the MACR and within that it is mentioned that it was approximately his 25th mission. Would like to determine more info on those previous missions. Tried to get personel file but as I figured it was destroyed in the '73 fire. Would squadron diaries be so specific as to list personel and a/c for each mission? I figure that  a MACR had to be generated from some such source.

Kent,

Do a google search for 301st BG. The top couple of hits will take you to some sites that have a lot of information. Check out the 32nd Squadron and see if they don't have the mission listed when your uncle was KIA. Having the pilot's name from the MACR should be helpful. You will have the option of contacting someone with the organization for help.
