father's death - 07/18/2008 03:50:58 PM
just wanted to let 438thtcg(1944-45) know that a fellow member passed away on oct. 1, 2006. Allen Goodwin was a member and always loved to go to the reunions. i recently located a photo in this forum of the group somewhere in england in 1945. i hope someone can tell me who painted the picture on the bell of birmingham. thanks

thanks PA.  Can you tell me anything about who did the painting of the lady on the Bell of Birmingham?  Dad always said he did some paintings on some plane, and i thought he said the Bell of Birmingham.  I believe this may be so, because the picture of him in 1945 is with the whole group in front of the Bell of Birmingham. if you can help me please let me know, it would really mean a lot to me.  Thanks so much.

Was your father in the 438 Troop Carrier Group?  If he was go to this link and you will find much more and probably make some contacts.

This is another link to the home page of the 438 Troop Carrier Group.
