Z48 42-24660 info please.......
-

My grandfather, 2Lt Otis Perriman, was the co-pilot on this plane (1LT Joe Amos crew). Ive only seen 1 picture of the crew in front of the plane itself. (Im assuming its their plane because there was no distinguishing marks, numbers, or name visible in the photo). Does anyone know if this plane had a name? I think I have seen it mistakenly referred to as "Million Dollar Baby" but I believe this is incorrect because there was another Z48 (42-65247) with that name that survived the war. Any additional info, photos, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!! Paul Judd

Paul, Could you please provide me with the serial# of the airplane you are looking for? I might be able to help. Ken Fine
Son of Lt Kenneth F Fine, original navigator on Z Square 22, "The Leading Lady", crew #201. Dad had been with the crew since 1944 in Victoria, KS.

Paul, Don't get your hopes too high. Often the background plane happened to be the closest available to the photographer. Sometimes several crews were photographed in front of the same plane. I hope that isn't the case for you. Dave
