Wunder Brothers
-

Am looking for any info on John and William Wunder from Minneapolis,MN. Both were AAF LTs and pilots. John Wunder flew B-24's or 5's (info. uncertain) W the 784th BS, 466th BG. However I do know that his crew named the ship 'Wunder Boy' after her commander. After flying about nine missions John was listed as KIA on 6/21/1944. William and my father were best friends, where they both graduated from Shattuck Military School, Faribault, MN. 1940. John and William together graduated from Ryan Flight School, San Diego, CA before flying for the AAF. Willie was with the 80th Fighter Group, 88th Fighter Squadron and flew nearly 150 missions before being killed in Burma in a P-51 10/23/1944. I recently was able to track down the lone surviving Wunder brother, Rolf. He is 8 years younger than his two brothers, and doesn't remember much from 65 years ago. Any info, leads, anytrhing at all on these two young great men would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
