Would like to communiate with anyone who has information on the 3rdPhoto Recon A/C, the "Quan Yin Cha Ara". I supplied the photo of the A/C nose art to John Mitchell, and it appears on page 108 of "warbird History, B-29 Superfortress", by Chester Marshall.
Are any of the crew members still out there? Arthur "Jack" Kimberley was my dad, and was an NCO on the Quan. I'm trying to reconstruct some information on the crew and the A/C.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the color used on the nose art?
I have some of his orders and documentation on metals from the period, as well as some of the pre and post bombing mission photos from missions over Japan.
ANY information and ALL help would be greatly appreciated!!!
