WWII Airborne Demonstration Team Open Hangar Day/Jump School - 07/24/2008 08:31:03 PM
The WWII Airborne Demonstration Team is having our jump school this week, and will be having our Open Hangar Day this upcoming Saturday, July 26th at our headquarters in Frederick, OK, located in the former sub-depot hangar of the WWII Frederick Army Air Field.  We welcome all visitors.

We are a 501C3 non-profit with a mission to remember, honor, and serve the veterans of WWII.  Our area of emphasis is airborne operations; we perform static line parachute jumps at air shows and veterans reunions, as well as displays of airborne equipment, our WWII C-47 "Boogie Baby", and our DC-3 "Boop B Doop".

Information on the Open Hangar Day is at:

Information about our ongoing jump school:

A short "after action report" on this event!

For those who didn't have the opportunity to come out, here are some pictures of what you missed!  We had an excellent Open Hangar Day culminate our Summer Jump School.

Our recently painted DC-3, now named "Boop B Doop".

Our C-47 "Boogie Baby" coming in for a landing.

Boogie Baby on the ramp with one of our pilots, Dave Brothers.

Demonstration Jumps!

"Airborne Experience" rides with WWII veterans.

Displays.

Graduation ceremony for jump school students.  Wings were pinned by WWII veterans.
