Hi Ann ! According to Roger A. Freeman's The B-17 Flying Fortress Story 43-38260 was assigned to the 837BS/487BG, MIA Kassel 22/9/44 with Smith; flak; crashed Wiesbaden; 1KIA 8POW; MACR10210. Nickname FIME SIENTZ. The MACR Database however shows 43-38260 flying with the 97th like you said with MACR #9026..... Found this from an earlier topic. http://forum.armyairforces.com/m_58488/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#71548 Regards, Paul

Annie, I started researching my wife's great uncle from the 381st and was telling my neighbor about it. She said her grandfather was Robert F. Goss, do you have any more info on the crew that you would share with her? Thanks Chip Roberts
