For any of the 44th BGVA who reads this column (and I know you're out there!) I just wanted to say thanks to whoever decided to put the Bomb Squadron Histories on the website. Your generosity is much appreciated and you have given me a new impetus to get my own meagre efforts organized again. (PS yes, it's taken me a while to notice. I blame the Day Job!) The 44th thanks you for your compliment. It was decided long ago by the board and members of the 44th to do that. The webmaster Arlo Bartsch performed the work, but the endeavor was taken on by Will Lundy. It is a shame but Will took a serious fall at the last reunion and never recovered and passed away. He will not see this completed but the 66th Squadron history is to follow, not much on that squadron but what we have is coming along with other worthy works. Hopefully we will one day also have a message board so 44thers can talk to each other and others interested in the 44th on the website.

Roger. I am so sorry to hear the news about Will Lundy, which I missed completely. We emailed back and forth a couple of times. I can appreciate what a motive force he was in recording the Group's history. A sad loss. My sympathies, however delayed. Rob
