Slick Chick photo Attlebridge 1945

I have a picture dated 1945 taken in Attlebridge, England of the crew standing in front of their plane Slick Chick.  The info on the back states: "Taken in Attlebridge, England the day the crew put the 100th mission on 'Slick Chick'".  Also are included the crew members' names as follows:
S/Sgt      Eugene Marceau
S/Sgt      Leonard Vandermast
S/Sgt      John Locke (Loeke?)
Tech Sgt Emil Wenzel (?)
Tech Sgt Dwight Kinsey
S/Sgt      Douglas Space
Lt            Joseph Almand
Lt            James Foreit  (my Dad)
Lt            Nathan Hall
I have read through some of your threads and would like to make this available to others who may be seeking information.  I know virtually nothing except what I was told...that my Dad flew missions over Germany from England.  My only living uncle tells me this is a B-24 Liberator.  Am not sure this is even the right thread, but since it deals with Attlebridge, wanted to give it a shot.  If this is not the right place, please excuse me and kindly point me in the right direction.  If anyone would like the photo, would be happy to email or pehaps it can be uploaded here?  Don't do forums as a rule, so please bear with me.  Have tried to research my Dad's military history, but apparently his files were some of those destroyed in the 60's and 70's by fire at the archives.  If anyone has info on this plane, crew, missions, etc, would love to have it.  Thanks in advance..Kay      airforce brat

According to "Attlebridge Arsenal" your dad was co-pilot on the Almand Crew #570 with the 466th Bomb Group and the 785th Squadron at Attlebridge. They flew 33 combat missions between November 29, 1944 and April 25, 1945. "Slick Chick" was a B-24 H Liberator SN #42-94979 and was returned to Willow Run, Michigan at the end of the war after flying 128 missions.
The crew included Marceau (Gunner), Wenzel (Radio Operator) Space (Gunner) Kinsey (Engineer) Evans (gunner), Almond (Pilot), Hall (Navigator).
About the destroyed files- some were destroyed by fire; some were not. It's an easy answer for a civil service clerk to give you. Some records have duplicates at National Archives in Maryland, so don't give up.

Thanks ever so much for the information on the "Slick Chick" and her crew.    Must be gratifying to help others find their missing pieces so many years after the fact.  And thank you for the encouragement to keep digging for information!   Kay   (Air Force Brat)

Hello Kay:

I just came across your post on the Slick Chick. My father-in-law was John Locke, tail gunner on the Slick Chick from November 1944 until the end of the war. I would like to have a copy of the photo you mentioned. Let me know how I may obtain.

Thanks,
Tom
