Searching for more info on 341st BG

I have two addresses on old envelopes from my father to my mother when he was in CBI. One address contains the line "1333rd AAF BU" which I have determined was at Chabua Air Base and the second is "1345th AAF BU" which was at Kurmitola. Kurmitola shows up on the 341st Bomb Group website as one of their air bases. I therefore have concluded that my father, who was a flight surgeon at these two bases, was, at least at Kurmitola, flight surgeon to the squadrons of the 341st Bomb Group. However, the confusing part is that I also have orders awarding him the air medal from Air Transport Command headquarters. The ATC flew the hump, and I know my father flew with them several times. Can anyone from the 341st remember any other units at the Kurmitola Air Base, like maybe remember some C-47 Sky Trains stationed there at the same time.
Proud son of Capt William Spear, Flight Surgeon to the Hump Pilots at Chabua and Kurmitola, 1944 - 1945
