Sad News: Death of Leslie Alexander, 532nd Bomb Squadron - 07/03/2009 04:44:20 PM ( #1 )

Received notice today from family on the passing of Leslie Alexander, 532nd Bomb Squadron, 381st BG, on July 1, 2009. Leslie Alexander was a tailgunner on the Jack McGregor crew completing his missions in the summer of 1944. The family requests this notice be communicated to any surviving crewmates and other 381st veterans. Mr. Alexander will be remembered in our memorial service at the 381st reunion in August and we will also note his passing in the newsletter. We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to his wife and family.

Our family would like to extend our appreciation to all the members of the 381st for their kindness and sympathy at this difficult time. L.C. will be sorely missed by all who knew him, both his comrades in arms and his friends of later years.

My deepest sympathy in the loss of this honored veteran. We are losing them much too quickly. May they never be forgotten.
