Sad News: Death of Group Commander, Col Conway S Hall, 9th July 2012

381st Forum Members:
Colonel Conway S Hall, the last group commander of the 381st Bomb Group, passed away this week at age 94.  Col. Hall was with the group from the activation in Pyote in Jan 1943.  He was an outstanding leader and pilot and contributed mightily to the group success throughout the entire training and combat operations until the group was disbanded in August 1945.  We honor his long service to our country and express our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and friends.  We will remember him at the Memorial Service to be held at the annual 381st reunion in Dayton Ohio on August 4 in several weeks.
