SSgt Thomas Galen Poague - 07/08/2008 08:45:44 AM
Hi all,

I am trying to locate information for this deceased veteran's daughter. He enlisted in October 1942 and she believes served through 1944.  He was bombardier/nose gunner and flew most of his missions on a B-24 named "Passionate Witch".  If there are pictures of his plane available that would be great as well.

Any information regarding his missions (number, targets, crew listing, etc.) or his plane would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brandon

Thanks,

Brandon,
According to B24 Best Web the Passionate Witch was in the 13AF 5th BG,the Bomber Barons, but there was no 25th BS.  The BS were the 23rd, 31st, 72nd, and 394th.  If you could find the pilots last name it would be a big help.

Thanks Bob.  The 25th was my mistake.  I have confirmed that he was with the 23rd squadron.  The pilot's last name was "Dillinger".

I have also learned that he and his crew apparently had to ditch on one mission in a plane (B-24?) named "Wishful Thinking"
