SSGT. J.I. (Irv) Grove, radio operator

Looking for anyone who may have served with my father, Irving Grove. I have pictures he took in Chittagong, Calcutta, Shemshenagra (?sp) in India. I know he worked on Flight Simulators at Lakeland, Fla, and had radio training in Wisconsin. I'm wondering if he was in the 10th AAF, 4th CCG because that is the only unit listed at Chittagong.

Thanks jpeters140!
I have been able to find out that SSGT. Grove was stationed at Shamshernagar AAF base in India (now in Bangladesh). He worked in the radio shop and was possibly attached to the 1347th AAF Base Unit. Does anyone know what squadrons flew out of Shamshernagar?

I am so excited to learn about this history, which happened just near my home town. If anyone has any picture on Shamshernagar area and airport please inform me. I need some historical pictures for Bishnupriya Manipuri Wikipedia ( http://bpy.wikipedia.org) and http://www.kamalgonj.com (Historical Shamshernagar airport is a part of Kamlgonj Upazila, Moulvibazar, Bangladesh now). I will give you full credit for the picture(s). Many thanks to Irving Grove and his son for the nice work and information.
