Richard Hugo, 825 Squadron

Does anyone remember Richard Hugo of 825 Squadron, 484 Bomb Group. He became a pretty famous writer after the war. I've seen one picture of one of his aircraft, named "What's Up Doc?". It crashed, and the crew all walked away. There's some information in his book "The Real West Marginal Way", but I was wondering if anyone remembered him from that time?

I knew Richard Hugo very well. He was the Bombardier on my crew. We trained in the U.S. at March Air Force Base in California prior to departing for Italy. We flew
35 Missions. Let me hear from you.

    Robert,
I have a site dedicated to bombardiers. Do you have any photos of Richard either alone or with your crew. If yes, I'd like to talk with you about getting a copy. I can be reached at my sites email address: hfhmsite@safeplace.net.

    Thanks!
