Researching father: 320th Bomb Group, also 397th Bomb Group - 06/19/2003 07:03:09 PM
Hello, Great site, great forums. I am researching my father, SGT Robert E. Seiley, who was a radio operator/gunner on B-26 Marauder with the 320th Bomb Group, 443rd Bomb Squadron at Dijon and Dole in 1945. Also served with the 397th Bomb Group, 598th Bomb Squadron towards the end of the war. Between '42 - '44 before going to Europe in Jan '45, dad trained at Scott Field, Ill., Seymour-Johnson Field, NC., Yale University, CT., Yuma Army Air Field, AZ., Lake Charles Army Air Base, LA., and Hunter Field, Savanah, GA. I have constructed a web site dedicated to him and those he served with, at http://www.geocities.com/seileys/Index.htm There I have documented what I know, including pictures, about the people, places, and events relating to his service. Please visit and let me know if you have suggestions and information about anything. Thanks a lot! [signature]
