Hi all,

I am planning a quick visit to Thorpe Abbotts on June 11-12 of this year.  In addition to seeing the Tower display, can anyone give me other places to see to get the most "Bloody Hundredth" bang for my buck!?

Thanks,  Mike

Mike,
Next time you go over, let me know?  Did you go to the Horsehoe Inn?  Did you go too the Half Moon Inn?  Both were watering holes when the 100th were there?  I am sure they took you all around the base and you saw the 351st, 350th and the Sub Depot sites with buildings on them.  Also the WAAF site?  Let me know?

Hey Mike,

We visited Thorpe Abbotts the last day and didn't have a lot of time other than the actual time with Carol at the Tower.  I was so impressed with that museum. . .and I was really bummed when she said that I just missed you!  I have always been a big 100th fan (in addition to the 91st!)  We did stop at The Eagle Pub in Cambridge, The Flying Fortress Pub in Bury, and The Swan in Lavenham.  We also had visits to Bassingbourne and the Hangar Dance, Rattlesden, Bury St. Edmunds, Hendon, Duxford, Steeple Morden, and all this after 4 days in Normandy!  A trip I'll never forget.  If I am fortunate to go back you can bet I'll get with you before I go!

My best,  Mike
