"REEL" Crew Rescue - 345th BG, 499th SQ

Does anyone have details of the rescue of the Edward J. Reel crew by the "Pennington" Crew (90BG - 321st SQ)  (Celebes mission)?  They (Reel crew)were returning from a mission and had to ditch their B-25 and were found floating in the water.   Lt. Harry Pennington, Jr. and his crew were one of the crews that spotted dye marker and attempted rescue.

There is about a full page about this in "Warpath Across the Pacific" by Larry Hickey- page 190 in the 4th edition. Let me know if you don't have access to it, I can get you a copy of the page; it's too much to re-type here. It was Sept 19, 1944. They should be a MACR on it.

That would be great!  Thank you.  So many details on missions, locations...I'll get there!
